Through the voices of lived experts, participants will learn how intentionally engaging children and youth can lead to improved results. Participants will hear why authentic child and youth engagement is a key element for successful child welfare systems and learn practical information that anyone can use to make moments matter.
Judge Darrell Missey, Director of the Children's Division of the Missouri Department of Social Services, will discuss the role child welfare leaders have in creating an environment that prioritizes child and youth engagement. Participants will gain an overview of the Quality Improvement Center on Engaging Youth in Finding Permanency (QIC-EY) and the tools that are available to help child welfare professionals authentically engage children and youth.
All participants who attend and complete the survey following the presentation will be emailed a certificate of attendance for 1.5 hours.
