Discourse surrounding the sex trade often puts the responsibility on the prostituted person instead of the sex buyer. The demand for paid sex is an overlooked but central component of how the sex trade is fueled and perpetuated. In this webinar, we will explore the individual and systematic motivations for sex buying.
This month we are spotlighting advocates working at the intersection of criminal justice, advocacy, and education. In this webinar we will discuss what drives the demand for commercial sex and how we can address it. Moderated by World Without Exploitation Youth Coalition Co-Chair Dahlia Locke, our conversation will feature Alisa Bernard; National Campaign Manager at WorldWE; and David Weiss; Chief of the Human Trafficking Unit at the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office.
