About this event

Survivors of commercial sexual exploitation (CSE) are often unidentified by service providers, and not offered robust community services. Join Washington Trafficking Prevention for two interactive half-day trainings to learn skills to engage and support survivors of exploitation.

Attendees will become certified to use Washington Trafficking Prevention's screening tool, and receive a certificate of completion. *

Schedule:

November 3rd from 10-12PM PST

  • Overview of commercial sexual exploitation and who is impacted most

  • Types of exploitation from a lens of intersectionality

  • Grooming into exploitation

  • Identifying and reporting exploitation

  • Survivor-centered screening for exploitation and how to create safety for survivors during screening

November 4th from 10-12PM PST

  • Survivor-centered intake

  • CSE safety planning

  • Needs assessments and advocacy

  • Building trust and increasing engagement

  • Case management skills

  • Support group tips

  • Self-care for services providers

This training is designed for professionals serving in the following fields/professions:

*To become certified, attendees must attend both sessions and complete a post-attendee assessment.
