Topic Mentoring LGBTQ+ Youth: Implementing the LGBTQ+ Supplement
Description In winter 2020, MENTOR partnered with Dr. Christian Rummell to design and implement a pilot program that served as a road-map for providing training and technical assistance to a small cohort of youth mentoring programs in Minnesota as they worked to integrate guidance from the LGBTQ+ Supplement to the Elemenst of Effective Practice for Mentoring. Register to join us on Thursday, October 21 at 1PM Eastern to hear from these mentoring programs share about their experiences with implementing the LGBTQ+ ally training pilot to help programs specifically assess if they are aligning practices to best support and include youth who are a part of the LGBTQ+ community, the impact it has had on their program, and how this work can inspire mentoring programs to work to improve their own structures, policies, and trainings in their programs.
