Abuse at Home: Harm Reduction Strategies During the COVID-19 Pandemic
During this time of unprecedented stress of the COVID-19 pandemic, patients and families are being told to go home and stay there for their safety and everyone else’s. But home is not a safe option for everyone. Data suggests intimate partner violence and child abuse is increasing during this time of social distancing and quarantine. Three presenters from Seattle Children’s Odessa Brown Clinic will conduct a 40-minute online workshop to discuss the current state of intimate partner violence and child abuse, trends, and strategies to increase safety at home.
