This presentation is geared to social service professionals and will cover practical information about how to recognize, respond, report, and refer when there are concerns regarding child physical or sexual abuse. Dr Rebecca Wiester, Medical Director at Harborview Abuse and Trauma Center and Seattle Children’s Hospital Child Protection Program, will go over a broad range of case examples of child abuse and discuss presentation, the meaning of sentinel injuries and how to think about management.
