WHAT: FREE screening of documentary PUSHOUT sponsored by Community Passageways and followed by a panel discussion and community conversation facilitated by Nikkita Oliver of Creative Justice. PUSHOUT is a feature length documentary that takes a deep dive into the lives of Black girls and the practices, cultural beliefs and policies that disrupts one of the most important factors in girls’ lives – education.
This is the first in a three-part series: stay tuned for a community conversation in early 2020 about what we can do locally to better support Black girls, and a resource fair for Black girls and their communities in spring 2020.
